A thread throughout most of Dale’s work is a sense of motion and a lot of it is combined media. The sense of motion is especially evident in his bronzes. The bronze process is a clay or wax original, then a mold (don’t call it lost wax or image process for nothing). The foundry process includes slurry to coat, burnout to remove the wax image, casting the bronze, cleanup-cutting grinding polishing and finally the patina. Combine all this with glass or steel and you come to appreciate the flowing complexities. Dale frequently accepts commissions.
